Chris Moorman Earns First-Place Finish in 888poker LIVE London High Roller Event

Aspers Casino in Westfield Stratford London is currently playing host to the 2019 888poker LIVE Festival London. Several events are on the schedule, including the Main Event, High Roller tournament and more. The £2,200 High Roller tournament recently finished up with 39 players competing. In the end, it was Chris Moorman who earned the first-place win, competing in the event as an ambassador of 888poker.

High Roller Event Details

With only 39 players competing, six players would end up earning a piece of the £77,220 prize pool. After Day 1, three ambassadors for 888poker were able to remain, including Moorman, Ana Marquez and Martin Jacobson. While three big-name pros from the brand were able to survive the first day, only Moorman would be cashing out from the group.

Jose Planells would unfortunately go home in 7th place, busting the bubble and ensuring the remaining players would receive guaranteed paydays. The first to go from the final table was Raul Martinez of Spain, followed by Damian Bell in 5th. Antoine Saout of France would be next to go in 4th followed by Nicholas Lee, who narrowly missed out on heads-up play.

Moorman and Benjamin Winsor would remain, both going head to head to see who would claim the 888poker LIVE London High Roller win. Winsor held a 2 to 1 chip lead at the start, but Moorman would waste no time building his chip stack and quickly doubled up to take the lead. In the end, Winsor would be all-in with Ace Three suited, with the lower stack. He would be called by Moorman who held Ace Nine. The higher kicker would hold up and give Moorman the hand and the first-place win.

Moorman’s Career

With the £27,000 prize money for first, Moorman would add to his overall lifetime earnings. During his career, the poker pro has been able to earn over $6 million from the game, based on data from the Hendon Mob.

The pro continues to compete in live and online game play, cashing out in big events as well as taking down first-place finishes like he did in this most recent 888live event!

888poker LIVE London Continues

With the High Roller event concluded, there is still plenty of action remaining for the 888poker LIVE London series.
