Winning Poker Network now Third Largest Provider of Online Poker in US

Winning Poker NetworkThe Winning Poker Network has overtaken Merge Gaming as the third largest provider of online poker in the US according to traffic monitoring site PokerScout.com

Recent upgrades to the network´s software, an anniversary promotion for the Beast and a reputation for processing cashouts faster than other US facing poker sites have helped the average levels of traffic on sites such as Americas Cardroom, Black Chip Poker and True Poker climb more than 50% over the last three months.

According to the poker traffic monitoring PokerScout.com, average levels of traffic on the Winning Poker Network have now risen to more than the Merge Gaming Network, and last weekend – the peak time for traffic on both networks – Winning Poker had 11% more players at its cash game tables than its nearest rival plus 315 players busting the $50,000 guarantee for its weekly feature tournament.

Still a Long Way to Go to be Nº1 …

Although executives at the Winning Poker Network will be delighted with the recent progress they have made, there is still a long way to go before the network catches the Bodog Network – the current #1 provider of online poker in the US. However the gap between third and second (the Revolution Network) was a mere 40 cash game players during the peak hours of Sunday evening, and although the Revolution Network attracted 30% more players to its weekly feature tournament, the buy-in was 37% cheaper!

… but They Are Trying!

The appointment of a new online Tournament Director by the Winning Poker Network has really shaken up the variety of games on offer – and the guarantees that go with them. The tournament schedule is being improved on a weekly basis and, as more players are attracted to the events, the guarantees are also improving. It is also rumoured that the incredibly popular Mini Online Super Series will be making a return in October!

About the Winning Poker Network

The Winning Poker Network provides games of online poker for players from the United States and the Rest of the World. Originally operating under the name of the Yatahay Network (with True Poker as its flagship skin), the network increased in size and changed its name when Americas Cardroom was re-launched in 2011 to bail out the defunct DoylesRoom.com.

When Black Chip Poker also joined the Winning Poker Network, the network became the fourth largest to accept online poker players from the US.  Other skins affiliated to the network are predominantly sports-betting websites (BetCris, 5Dimes, BookMaker.eu) which use the poker software provided by the Winning Poker Network as an added-value option for their clients.

Network skins are able to offer clients “The Beast” – advertised as the world´s first progressive rake race – and reward programs where the points awarded to players are distributed via the popular “dealt method”, rather than the contributed method used at many other online poker sites.
