With approval to operate in New Jersey expected soon, PokerStars wants to meet its former VIP players who reside in the Garden State.
Invitations to meet two members of PokerStars management who will be in the area this week
went out to a number of New Jerseyans recently. Players who received the email invitations were welcomed to join the PokerStars representatives in a casual setting
at either one of two locations in New Jersey.
PokerStars idea for the get-togethers has a goal of meeting the New Jersey player base and inviting feedback on any topics or concerns you as a player may have
. Is it any wonder why PokerStars leads the world in player traffic by a large margin? Such customer service initiatives go a long way in earning the admiration and respect of players.
Though that admiration and respect is not all-encompassing considering that PokerStars operated in the U.S. post-UIGEA, the company is well on its way to repairing its tarnished image in the U.S. The first stop appears to be New Jersey and ingratiating yourself to your once loyal customers is an excellent start.
Invited players have the option of attending one of two sessions hosted by the gaming giant at local restaurants. However, it is not specified that players cannot attend both events, and knowing PokerStars’ proclivity toward embracing a relationship with its players, attending both would likely be welcomed.
The first session consisted of free drinks and hors d’oeuvres and was held in Jersey City at the Vu Lounge in the Hyatt Regency on Monday, Sept. 8 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.. The second gathering is on tap for today at the Resorts Hotel & Casino from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. inside the Landshark Bar & Grill. Lunch and drinks will be provided to invited players who need not RSVP.
Resorts and PokerStars are old pals considering the two had previously formed an alliance to offer Internet poker and casino games in the New Jersey marketplace. The collaboration was put on hold when PokerStars’ online gambling license application to operate in the Garden State was suspended in December 2013.

The hoopla has died down and acceptance of the deal has set in, at least in New Jersey where the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) is readying its Approved
stamp with regard to PokerStars igaming license.
PokerStars will presumably use information obtained from the players at the sessions to address any problems or concerns before launching. That launch has been rumored to take place as early as October, but that time frame may be a bit optimistic.
Whenever the DGE approval and subsequent launch does take place, it won’t be too soon for online poker players in New Jersey. Many have been clamoring to once again play at a site operated by the best in the industry. PokerStars took a small step toward proving yet again why it is the best in online poker by hosting the gatherings that are certain to win back its once-loyal players.
