Joshua Beckley to Live-Stream ACR Million Dollar Sundays

Joshua BeckleyJoshua Beckley – one of the 2015 WSOP November Nine – will be live-streaming his play in all five of Americas Cardroom´s forthcoming Million Dollar Sundays.

It is not unusual for high-profile players to compete in America´s most valuable online poker tournament. Mike “Timex” MacDonald was noted at the tables during April´s event, and runner-up in the last Million Dollar Sunday “TALKINABOOT” was rumored to be Antanas “Tony G” Guoga.

The next Million Dollar Sunday is just over a week away (Sunday 13th September), and Americas Cardroom has announced that not only will November Niner Joshua “asdf26” Beckley be competing in the event, but he will also be live-streaming his action on Twitch.

Furthermore, Beckley – who is currently in seventh place in the WSOP Main Event – has committed to repeat his live action streaming for the four Million Sunday Events taking place throughout October before resuming his quest to take down the world´s largest live poker tournament on November 8th.

Big Overlay Expected in Next Million Dollar Sunday

Whereas the previous million dollar events have been well supported and resulted in a relatively small overlay (Americas Cardroom actually made a profit on the last event after tournament entry fees were taken into account), the next Million Dollar Sunday is likely to be significantly undersubscribed.

There has been significantly less marketing for this event compared to previously – when reload bonuses where offered to players and the Million Dollar Sunday was the feature event in a series of tournaments – and the “Million or Bust” Jackpot games are not (as yet) attracting the volume of players that used the promotion to win their seats in August.

Americas Cardroom is running a daily satellite event with a sub-satellite path starting at freeroll level, and three mega-satellites offering a combined total of two hundred seats into the Million Dollar Sunday are scheduled for next week. But will that be enough to attract players to the $540.00 buy-in event? We don´t think so – even with the winner due to receive a life-changing prize of $200,000.

Talking of Big Overlays …

Possibly one of the reasons for Americas Cardroom´s subdued marketing efforts for the Million Dollar Sunday is that its resources have been allocated to driving attention towards the current Freebuy Super Series II. The series to date has not been a great success for Americas Cardroom, with the majority of tournaments resulting in big overlays and some of the events being cancelled due to technical issues.

Due to the rescheduling of the cancelled events, the series – that was due to conclude this weekend with the $20,000 guaranteed Freebuy Super Series Main Event – will roll over to Monday 7th September. Fortunately (for Americas Cardroom) there will be plenty of players available to compete in Monday´s six events due to it being Labor Day in the United States.

Looking at the schedule for the next three days, there is $72,000 guaranteed in prize money over nineteen tournaments. So, if you have not yet taken part in any of the Freebuy Super Series II event, now might be the ideal opportunity to get your hands on some extra value at Americas Cardroom.

Value Everywhere – Plus a $1,000 First Deposit Bonus

Interestingly, the majority of opportunities to get a little value from Americas Cardroom tournaments usually occurs in the lower buy-in events. The site´s $115,000 guaranteed “Sunday Special”, the $25,000 and $50,000 guaranteed tournaments and High-Roller event all seem to be attracting sufficient players to reach their guarantees at the expense of tournaments with buy-ins of less than $25.00.

Some of these lower buy-in tournaments have some pretty decent guarantees as well. For example last night´s $20.00 buy-in 4-Max event was guaranteed for $1,500, but attracted only 43 players – resulting in an overlay of $640 – and the number of entries for the $4.00 buy-in “Gone In 60 Minutes” event resulted in a 30 percent overlay for the $250 guaranteed prize.

If you are a player looking for a little bit of value in your online tournaments, there is no better place to invest your time and money than Americas Cardroom. The site offers a first deposit bonus up to $1,000 for players registering an account with the AmericasCardroom bonus code[bonuscode room=”americascardroom”]” and has one of the most generous player reward programs in the world.

Register your account today, and you could be playing alongside November Niner Joshua Beckley in next weekend´s Million Dollar Sunday!
