All eyes have been on GGPoker has of late. Over the past few months, the brand has seen tremendous growth with the GGPoker Masters and has teamed up with major poker brands like the WSOP for upcoming events. Players are highly anticipating the 2020 World Series of Poker Online, with many of the series events to be hosted by GGPoker. The brand has just announced the full schedule for the series and there is plenty of action to be had!
Details of the Events
For GGPoker, the brand will be hosting 54 of the WSOP Online series events. Each tournament will be a bracelet event, giving players plenty of time to vie for WSOP gold glory. Players will find events starting on July 19 and continuing through September 6. Buy-ins will be low to high with players finding something for everyone.
The lowest buy-in will be in the BIG 50, which costs only $50 to play. This event is actually the lowest buy-in ever recorded for a WSOP event. The highest buy-in can be found in the NLH Poker Players Championship, with players posting $25,000 to compete.
The Main Event is one tournament that will of course be sought after by players. The tournament will have a $5,000 buy-in and will take place on August 16. The tournament will offer an amazing $25 million guaranteed and be the single largest guaranteed prize pool in the history of online poker.
The online tournament will take place over three days. There will be several freezeout day 1s taking place and day 2 will be set for August 30.
During the tournaments, players will be competing for over $60 million in guaranteed prize money. There will be 12 events with nice guarantees including the Mini Main Event, PLOSSUS, The Opener and more. The NLH Poker Players Championship will offer up $10 million in prize money while the WSOP Super MILLION$ will have a $5 million prize pool.
The events with the huge guarantees are sure to see a ton of action. Of the events on the schedule, the majority will take place in No Limit Hold’em format. There will also be a few events with Pot Limit Omaha. Bracelets will be available in Short Deck and Limit Hold’em.
Satellites will start on July 1, so players will soon be able to hopefully earn a spot in one of the many WSOP Online events. As satellites kick off next week, players will also be able to take part in satellites during the WSOP Online, securing seats to events right before they begin.
Another interesting aspect to the WSOP Online is the Players Choice Events. This is a first for the brand, with players having the ability to select four events they want to see. #47-50 will be chosen by the players. the only details we know so far about these events is that two are considered the Most Popular, while other two are Spin the Wheel and Pros Vote.
More details about these events should be provided in the coming days. It will be interesting to see just how this online series goes down and how many players register to compete. It is expected that the event will be quite large as online poker participation has surged during the past few months due to the coronavirus outbreak.
