BetOnline Online Poker Series Championship Continues

For online poker players, the past few months have been filled with action. Players have been able to find plenty of gaming options to enjoy, from cash games to tournaments and special series. As the coronavirus has taken hold around the world, online poker platforms have provided an oasis, offering up new and exciting contests for players to take part in. BetOnline is one such online poker room. Starting on September 7, the brand kicked off the Online Poker Series Championship. With 100 events and $2.5 million in guaranteed prize money, the series is still going strong.

The Beginning

On Labor Day, the new tournament series kicked off at BetOnline, offering players plenty of events with solid prize pools. For 21 days, players can take part in premium action, with buy-ins starting at just $1.10 and going as high as $215.

On the first day, players found Marathon events with $10,000 prize pools as well as a Monster tournament, a Progressive Bounty and Monster Grind. With several events taking place each day, the series offered up Boost events and Rebuys.

This week, the schedule is heating up with satellites for the Main Event. There are several options for the Main Event, with lower level buy-ins as well as the biggest option, one that offers $300,000 in total guaranteed prize money.

Players can compete in Freebuy Satellites this week to earn seats to the various Main Event tournaments. There are options for the $11 buy-in event as well as the $109 and more. The tournament series will also include Monster Grind’s, Rebuy Splash events, Mega PLOs and more this week.

The Main Events

Let’s talk Main Events. On the last day of the series, all the Main Events take place. You have the Monster Main Event, which offers $300,000 in prize money and has a buy-in of $109. Then you have the Mini Main Event, which offers a lower buy-in of $11 and includes $30,000 in prize money.

Next up is the PLO Main Event, which has a $55 buy-in and offers up $25,000 in prize money. There is also a Bounty Main Event with $30,000 up for grabs and a $109 buy-in. Players can compete in the Mini version of this event for $11 with $5,000 up for grabs.

The final day will also include a Second Chance event, a Rebuy Splash and Turbo Last Chance. The schedule is full of action on the last day and should see a strong number of players competing.

The Online Poker Series Championship at BetOnline is just one of several examples as to how poker rooms have stepped up their game over the past few months. As players are staying close to home, online poker platforms have seen an increase in interest. They are certainly taking advantage of it by offering up quality gaming options, including creating completely new events for players to participate in.

It will be interesting to see once the series finishes up, just how many players took part and if the guaranteed prize pools were smashed!
