Online Super Series VIII Starts on Wednesday at ACR

OSS8 at ACROSS VIII starts with a $100,000 guaranteed event, features 78 tournaments over twelve days, and climaxes with another Million Dollar Sunday on December 18.

Americas Cardroom has compiled an incredible schedule of event for OSS VIII. From this coming Wednesday (December 8) until Sunday December18, the site will host 78 tournaments with combined guarantees in excess of $3 million, yet with buy-ins starting from just $1.10.

To complement the series, Americas Cardroom has put together a satellite schedule that allows players to qualify for the most valuable events for just pennies on the dollar. Indeed, Freebuy sub-satellites are already underway for the highlight of OSS VIII – the $1,000,000 guaranteed Million Dollar Sunday.

Series Kicks Off with $100,000 Event

The schedule for OSS VIII is packed full of variety. There are many different formats of NL Hold´em included among the 78 tournaments and ten different PLO events. The schedule also includes two of Americas Cardroom´s unique “Cage” events – five-hour cash games with blinds increasing each hour.

The series kicks off on Wednesday at 3:30pm (ET) with a $100,000 guaranteed NL Hold´em tournament – the first of five events throughout the series that has a six-figure guarantee (or higher) – and continues with a PLO8 Knockout event and three more NL Hold´em tournaments with combined guarantees of $73,000.

Leading up to the first weekend, there is a good mix of events including a 4-Max tournament, a Super-Stack Turbo Knockout and a Hyper-Turbo Mega-Stack event. The first Sunday of the series includes the regular $100,000 Sunday Warm-Up and sees the guarantee for the Sunday Special increased from $115,000 to $500,000.

Big Events Dominate Week 2

Although the second week of the Online Super Series VIII is geared towards the feature Million Dollar Sunday, there are plenty of other significant events included in the schedule. Monday night´s feature event is a $215.00 buy-in 8-Max NL Hold´em tournament, while on Wednesday the site hosts its $5,100 Cage event.

Thursday and Friday are the “lull before the storm”, with the twelve scheduled events guaranteeing just over $140,000; and, on Saturday, there is a strong line-up of tournaments including a $30,000 guaranteed 6-Max Knockout, a PLO Super-Knockout with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool, and a $50,000 guaranteed NL Hold´em event with an $82.00 buy-in.

Naturally the Million Dollar Sunday at 4:00pm (ET) is the feature of Sunday´s action, but the site is hosting seven further major tournaments on the concluding day of OSS VIII including a Sunday Warm-Up NL Hold´em event with a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000 – quite possibly the only major tournament in the Online Super Series likely to see an overlay.

Guarantees Getting Beaten Every Week

No matter how much Americas Cardroom guarantees its feature tournaments for, the guarantees keep getting beaten. Earlier this year we reported on how events in August´s Mini Online Super Series beat their guarantees by [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/acrs-moss-enjoys-guarantee-busting-super-sunday/”]an average of 68%[/geolink], and then the Bigger Online Super Series [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/big-start-americas-cardrooms-boss-tournament-series/”]nearly did the same[/geolink].

The first weekend of last month saw many guaranteed tournaments [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/guarantees-blown-away-americas-cardroom-yesterday/”]doubling their guarantees[/geolink], and yesterday was another bumper day at Americas Cardroom – the $115,000 guaranteed Sunday Special paying out $134,000, the $100,000 guaranteed Sunday Warm-Up paying out $130,600, and the late night $50,000 guaranteed tournament paying out $65,100.

However, Americas Cardroom is not only about providing online poker players with valuable tournaments. Last week we reported how the Winning Poker Network – of which Americas Cardroom is the flagship skin – [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/winning-poker-network-now-fifth-online-poker-traffic/”]had reached fifth place[/geolink] in PokerScout´s global traffic rankings for cash game action. With the Online Super Series VIII about to get underway, it is a great time to be playing at Americas Cardroom.
