Mid-States Poker Tour Hosting $1,100 Poker Bowl IV Super Bowl Weekend

The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) are teaming up yet again to bring poker players some action at the felt during the Super Bowl. During the popular football weekend, the MSPT will be hosting the Poker Bowl IV, with a $1,100 buy-in and $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize money.

Quality Poker Action

The Poker Bowl IV will offer players quality poker action with three starting flights on the schedule. The first day, Day 1a, will begin at noon on January 29th. Day 1b and 1c will take place on January 30th and 31st at noon as well. The players who make it through the starting flights will be returning on February 1st to play Day 2 down to the winner.

With the tournament ending on Saturday, players can stick around and enjoy Super Bowl LIV, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the dominant Patrick Mahomes facing off against the San Francisco 49ers.

The tournament will have 40 minute blind levels and will see players given 20,000 in starting chips.

Satellites for Seats

Like most poker events the Poker Bowl will also include satellites where players can earn a seat at a much lower price point. On January 28th, players can compete in a $200 No Limit Hold’em Mega Satellite with three seats to the event up for grabs. A second event of the same type will take place on January 29th.

On January 30th, players can compete in yet another $200 satellite with three seats awarded. This gives players plenty of opportunity to earn a spot at much lower price than the $1,100 buy-in. Options are offered before opening days so those who don’t qualify via satellite can still buy-in to a day 1 option.

The Poker Bowl has continued to grow over the years after its inception in 2017. For the first Poker Bowl, the event saw 695 entries. The very next year, the amount increased to 827. Last year, the Poker Bowl III had 1,022 entries, providing almost $1 million in prize money and $143,929 for the first place winner, Brian Wilson.

It will be interesting to see if the Poker Bowl VI will see as many if not more players than the previous years. If the trend continues, the turnout should be over 1,000+.

Tour Continues

The Poker Bowl is just one single event hosted by the Mid-States Poker Tour during this busy schedule. Just last week, the tour was in Colorado at the Golden Gates Casino offering a regional event. They also headed to Ohio that same week to provide the JACK Cleveland Poker Open. There are still many more events on the tour’s schedule.

After the Poker Bowl, the tour will head to Minnesota to Canterbury Park then South Dakota to the Grand Falls Casino to host a regional event. The schedule continues with stops offered in every month throughout the year, ending in December back in Minnesota to Canterbury Park.
