Full Tilt Remission Encounters New Troubles

Full Tilt Remission Encounters New TroublesFormer U.S. Full Tilt players are anxiously awaiting the start of the remission process on Monday, but some may find themselves excluded from participation.

The VP of player relations for the Poker Players Alliance, Rich Muny, indicated via Facebook that claims administrator Garden City Group (GCG) has established a list of players who will not be reimbursed. Though the GCG remained mum when pressed for confirmation, it appears that some former players can kiss their account balances good-bye.

Those players are said to include any employees, shareholders, directors, and vendors who were or are affiliated with Full Tilt or any of its related companies and subsidiaries. In addition, any Full Tilt pro players past or present as well as anyone charged in relation to Black Friday allegations will allegedly also be left out of the loop.

Muny obtained the information from another source who was contacted by the GCG. Although the exclusion list has not been verified absolutely, it does appear to be plausible.

The current Full Tilt stable of pros consists of Tom Dwan, Viktor Blom and Gus Hansen. However, other pros that include Ben Jenkins, Martins Adeniya, Dermot Blain and Sinem Melin were recently named to represent FTP as tour ambassadors at such events as the UKIPT Galway.

Past pros include the likes of Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman and Mike Matusow, as well as about 200 Red Pros. Should all those Red Pros make the cut on the GCG exclusion list, the amount of dollars failing to reach the pockets of those former pros is likely to be well above six figures.

The submitting of claims is scheduled to kick off on Monday, September 16. The GCG website set up to accept claims and provide information to players does not mention any exclusion lists in association with Full Tilt insiders.

Remember that there is only a 60-day window in which to submit claims, so players are advised not to procrastinate. Finally, after almost 2 and 1/2 years, reimbursement will soon be forthcoming. Apparently, except for those who had or have ties to Full Tilt Poker other than that of merely playing online poker.
