If you’re planning to play in the WSOP Main Event next month, chances are that you’ll run into players there who won their seats via Americas Cardroom (ACR).
The top skin on the Winning Poker Network (WPN), ACR recently announced that almost three dozen prize packages to this year’s Main Event have already been awarded, with more than a dozen more yet to come. Those packages are worth $12,500, covering the $10,000 buy-in and leaving money left over for food and lodging expenses.
“Expect to see a lot of Americas Cardroom patches on the floor of the Rio during the Main Event,” said ACR spokesman Michael Harris.
You may see those ACR patches in other events as well. Players who won the prize packages and make it to Vegas on the cheap can perhaps use some of the expense money to enter another tournament. The Lucky 7s event, featuring a $777 buy-in, kicks off just a couple days before the Main Event and would be an excellent tournament for ACR winners with left over expense cash to enter.
ACR has been awarding Main Event seats through satellites and has also added some more ME seat giveaways at its World Series of Jackpots promotion. Those prize packages are available at Jackpot Poker, the lottery-style SitNGos that have become quite popular throughout the online poker industry.
