Carbon Poker Introduces Social Online Poker Series

Carbon Poker Social OPSU.S.-friendly Carbon Poker has come up with a new poker tournament series where the prize pools of the events will increase if players become involved.

Entitled the Social Online Poker Series (Social OPS), the festival runs from June 1-14 and features a $1,000 freeroll each day, except for the tournament on the final day of the series which Carbon has set at a massive $5,000 prize – guaranteed. However, the prize pools of the daily freerolls can increase to $1,500 ($5,500 on June 14) depending on player interaction via social media.

The potential is there for the entire series to dole out $25,000 in prize money! That is, if enough players do their part.

Here’s how it works: Carbon Poker will post an image everyday of the Social OPS on either Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. If players become involved and are responsible for 15 Instagram Likes, Facebook Shares or Twitter Retweets by 17:00 on whatever social media platform the image is posted on for that day, the freeroll prize pool will be boosted by $500 to $1,500 ($5,500 for the last event).

An interesting idea and concept that allows players to have a say in the amount of each prize pool! And all it takes is 15 players to interact on the social media platform selected for each day.

Carbon Poker Details

Carbon Poker is the flagship skin on the Merge Gaming Network, one of only a handful of U.S.-facing sites available to players within the U.S. The poker room is very well-established, having been in operation in the online poker industry since the 2000s.

New players can avail themselves of a generous 100% up to $1,000 first-time deposit bonus. And grab another $100 just for recommending a friend to Carbon Poker who deposits at least $400 and plays. That friend can also earn the Welcome Bonus!

Other perks available include a Bad Beat Jackpot that is fully funded by Carbon Poker. Losing a hand with four eights or better wins the progressive jackpot!

Playing Online Poker in the U.S.

Admittedly, online poker has not been the same for Americans since Black Friday in 2011 when some popular sites such as PokerStars exited the market. However, poker rooms such as Carbon Poker, Americas Cardroom and Black Chip Poker remain, welcoming U.S. players to come play and enjoy the game that they love.

The U.S. online poker industry continues to prosper, as is evidenced by the arrival of Full Flush Poker in November 2013 – long after Black Friday. New poker sites would not be launching and accepting new players if the threat of another shutdown was looming.

And with social media now booming, Carbon Poker has devised a creative way to get U.S. players involved. Be sure to visit Carbon Poker on Twitter on June 1 and retweet. I’ll be doing so. Only 14 more and the freeroll prize pool will grow by 50%!
