ACR´s MOSS Enjoys Guarantee-Busting Super Sunday

OSS CUB3D at Americas CardroomThe final day of the Mini Online Super Series attracted thousands of players to Americas Cardroom and busted the guarantees in every tournament.

The first leg of Americas Cardroom´s ambitious OSS CUB3D trio of tournament series finished last night on a high. The seven events scheduled for the concluding day of the Mini Online Super Series (MOSS) beat their guarantees by an average of 68% – with the $150,000 guaranteed MOSS Main Event paying out more than $245,000.

The success of the Mini Online Super Series bodes well for the remaining legs of OSS CUB3D – the Online Super Series getting underway next Wednesday (24th August), followed by the high-rollers Bigger Online Super Series from Wednesday 7th September. The additional tournament players have also contributed to driving cash game traffic at Americas Cardroom to new highs.

Super Sunday Warm-Up Sets Pace for Rest of Day

Even before this Sunday´s action, the Mini Online Super Series had been a raging success. Just one of the previous forty tournaments had failed to make its guarantee, and some of the lower buy-in events had more than doubled the anticipated prize pool. However, there was 40% of the series´ guarantee on the line for the final day of the Mini Online Super Series.

The first of yesterday´s seven events was a $22.00 buy-in Warm-Up for the MOSS Main Event. Starting two hours before the feature tournament, but with five hours of late registration, the Warm-Up attracted 3,578 players and created a prize pool of $71,560 – 78.9% higher than the guaranteed prize pool of $40,000.

The $88.00 buy-in Main Event also had five hours of late registration, enabling 3,068 players to participate and helping to create a prize pool of $245,440. 459 players cashed in the MOSS Main Event – a min-cash being worth $122.72 – while the winner of the tournament pocketed $43,933, rather than the guaranteed first prize of $27,750.

Supporting Tournaments Pay Their Way Too

Yesterday´s five remaining tournaments also contributed to the success of MOSS Super Sunday. The $11.00 Turbo Mega Stack – running at the same time as the Main Event – more than doubled its $3,000 guarantee, the $25,000 guaranteed “Micro High Rollers” paid out $48,000, and a $2.20 buy-in “Regular” event – guaranteed for $800 – paid out just short of $2,000.

The least successful tournament on Super Sunday was the OSS Passport event. This tournament offered five packages into the primary events in the Online Super Series – including the Million Dollar Sunday event on 4th September. Although beating its guarantee, the tournament did not quite get enough players to pay out a sixth package, and the extra cash was distributed to those just outside the top places.

The MOSS Finale was an $11.00 buy-in Super Stack Turbo with an advertised guaranteed prize pool of $4,000. Due to the timing of the event being just before late registration closed for the MOSS Main Event, the Finale tournament attracted 678 players – 99 of those finishing the Mini Online Super Series on a high by finishing in the money.

What to Look Forward to in the Online Super Series

The Online Super Series gets underway on Wednesday with a $100,000 guaranteed NL Hold´em freezeout that should not be missed. Other highlights over the opening days of the series include an $8,000 guaranteed freezeout on Thursday with a buy-in of just $8.80, and the $300,000 guaranteed Sunday Special on 28th August.

Naturally the highlight of the Online Super Series is the Million Dollar Sunday on 4th September, and a comprehensive satellite schedule is already underway at Americas Cardroom for this event. One of the best routes for winning a seat in the Million Dollar Sunday event is through the Million Dollar Mega-Satellite on the morning of the Million Dollar Sunday, as this will guarantee 150 seats into the target event.

On Tuesday 30th August, USAFriendlyPokerSites.com will be hosting an exclusive free-to-enter sub-satellite tournament giving away five entries to the Million Dollar Mega-Satellite – each worth $88.00. More information about this event will be released at the end of the week when the tournament is listed in the Americas Cardroom lobby, so make sure you keep reading USAFriendlyPokerSites.com and keep playing at [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/americas-cardroom/”]Americas Cardroom[/geolink].
